Wavejet ($TBA) isn't quite what you'd think. Instead of strapping an outboard engine to a crazy-large board, the Wavejet is a Personal Water Propulsion (PWP) engine that attaches to and can be used with a variety of watercraft, including kayaks, boogie boards, and, yes, surfboards. Its twin-lithium ion battery pack is good for over 30 minutes of cruising, and offers 20 lbs. of thrust, or enough to make it 2 to 3 times faster than paddling.
