Sony Goes Silent As Hacking Continues

As the hacks and breaches continue to haunt Sony the company has resorted to its only remaining tactic: silence. The Japanese giant hasn’t responded publicly or answered requests for comment on the five security incidents that have occurred in just the last week.

Sony’s pain continued Tuesday, as a Sony BMG music site in Japan was compromised by a group of hackers that calls itself LulzSec, exposing a database of user information with a Web hacking technique known as SQL injection and the same technique reportedly used by a Lebanese group to expose another cache of user information held by Sony Ericsson.

“We just want to embarrass Sony some more,” the LulzSec group wrote in an anonymous post about its security breach. “Can this be hack number eight? Seven and a half?!”
