Mouthwash's antiseptic properties make it a great multipurpose solution for over a dozen household and health and beauty needs, from reducing the appearance of bruises to rescuing plants.
The Wise Bread blog suggests you use alcohol-based, sugarless mouthwash for these cleaning and medicinal purposes. Because there are so many ways to use mouthwash, they note, it's great for travelers, and can be used in a pinch as a treatment for: poison ivy, athlete's foot, cuts and scrapes, dandruff and more. If you're prone to bumping into things and getting bruises, remember the mouthwash.
Did you go bump in the night? Waiting for a whopper of a bruise to appear? Rub some mouthwash on the affected area, and you can save yourself from a gaudy bruise (or at least reduce the appearance of it).
