There's not a whole lot to say about this nugget of cinema history, other than "excellent." Finally available in a definitive Criterion Collection Blu-ray, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas ($28) is the fearless adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's legendary novel, adapted and directed by Monty Python-alum Terry Gilliam, powered by Johnny Depp's amazing performance as Thompson doppelgänger Raoul Duke, helped along by an equally impressive turn from Benicio Del Toro, and finished off with a copious helping of hallucinogenic drugs.
